Thu 14 May
Spiritual Listening (Meeting House)
19:30
Venue: Meeting House
Through a combination of silent meditation and prayer, sharing our own reflections and listening attentively to others, we seek to experience more deeply the path of the spirit within and between us. We seek to explore how the Spirit is manifest and working in our lives, and where the spirit is leading us in order that we may become one body.
For each session someone chooses a particular passage that has moved them spiritually. The passage may or may not be biblical.
We meet in person at the Meeting House on the second Thursday of the month; on Zoom on the fourth Thursday of the month.

The plan is to invite people to share a passage or song which has moved them. The passage or song may be
biblical or secular.
After a short time of silence, the person bringing the passage will give a sentence or two about who wrote
it and when, and maybe briefly why they chose it. The passage will then be read two or three times, during
which participants will be asked to choose a particular word or phrase that particularly speaks to them.
They will then meditate on this word or phrase for 15-20 minutes and see where the spirit leads them.
After this we will have a time of sharing, at the end of which the person who chose the passage will share a
few words on how and why the passage moved them, and any reflections on what they have just heard.
The session will finish with a time of holding people in the light.
